Distribution of Goods to Shops

Distribution of Goods to Shops

Transport of goods to supply shops, mainly those on Main Roads or side roads that may lead to severe traffic congestions, to be undertaken late in the evening, after the rush hour and when traffic is at its lowest. Other services to follow suit, such as the collection of refuse to be done after 7.00pm and not longer early morning sometimes before 7.00am, when it is very difficult for the elderly persons to wake up that arly to take the trash bag out. Everyone can take their trash late evening.

Points

Heavy goods vehicles sometime take a good amount of time parked in a traffic lane to distribute goods o smaller shops, blocking one lane of road and creating traffic. This goes for refuse collections and also large vans. Permits for heavy vehicles to operate must be coordinated to avoid more than one in any road at any time.
