Why don't we have an area in each village where it is allocated for reforestation. Each village then can collect plants endemic which the locals grow and plant in this area. This way every village will find pride in the beauty of the environment
I think that old schools in the villages could be pulled down and left as open spaces. These could be built in areas outside village cores so that we can also reduce congestion of traffic and have more breathing spaces in our villages.
Malta needs to be greener.
may i suggest that residents-voluntarily- get to be responsible for the green areas in their vicinity, they can be the planters along their block. that way vandalism is averted and people get to be proud of their area. help could be given re-plants, advice etc from the relative govt entities. lets make our urban environment healthier, greener and more relaxing.
