It is unacceptable in this day and age that Maltese citizenship/ naturalisation laws are amongst the most exclusionary and arbitrary in the world; these laws go against various fundamental human rights . Many people have been born in Malta, or living in Malta for prolonged periods of time are denied the right to Maltese nationality and are afraid of speaking up. This must change
