Give teachers a voice and a raise

Give teachers a voice and a raise

The education authorities stopped listening to teachers' voices long ago, and many new curricula which are being introduced are just adding to further time constraints. Teachers have valuable ideas and their input is better than any educational theory. Also, we are losing excellent teachers to other jobs which pay better as teachers are not paid for the huge amounts of work done at home or during the holidays. Improving working conditions and salaries are a must if teachers are to be retained.

Points

I fully agree with the above statement. Year after year, a lot of promises were issued but unfortunately none of them were kept. Teachers are disappointed because they are ignored and left alone. Working conditions are bad as these are not congruent to their salary. Hopefully, some one needs to stand for them seriously once and for all, and improve their working conditions and salaries until it's too late!
