National Plan for Access to Countryside

National Plan for Access to Countryside

There should be a national plan to design, develop, or improve access to and pathways in the countryside. An example is Buskett Gardens, where many activities are held and where many people go for a walk or picnic in the cooler months. The shabbiness of the place speaks for itself. People long for more places to go for a walk or a picnic with friends and families, as seen from the few overcrowded picnic areas like Ta' Qali where children still play even if the terrain is rough and dangerous.

Points

Enough building period!! There are many old buildings that can be renovated or pulled down to create somethg new. We need open spaces not out of concrete but with trees and plants. We need buildings which reflect our heritage not stale art.
