Change of Guards at MFSA

Change of Guards at MFSA

To rebuild Malta's financial services industry, we need a bloodletting. Besides strengthening the rule of law, the regulator needs to be fixed. The Chairman should retire. The board of governers changed. The head of the conduct of business unit, director general, and generally anyone useless removed. The regulator failed us and was not even business friendly. They need good people and resources give it to them. Mandate consultation with the industry.

If the Chairman is found to have been corrupted he should be faced with a heavy fine. High salary and obviously a high fine. If he is found guilty of aiding in money laundering also a prison sentence
