Low-energy sustainable buildings

Clean energy is good, but we should be designing buildings that require less energy in the first place. Passive features are simple to adopt and cheaper to incorporate into a new building than renewables. Planning requirements should reflect the promotion of daylight, natural ventilation, water harvesting, thermal mass etc.
