Pedestrian only Cities such as Mdina and Valletta

Pedestrian only Cities such as Mdina and Valletta

Maybe slightly against Maltese cultural beliefs and something that will take guts to implement. However, look at Ljubljana-Slovenia; in 2007 they prohibited the entry of private vehicles, increased the number of approved green areas and encouraged people to use city bikes. The number of cultural events taking place on the streets increased, and has been a very popular tourist destination ever since. The locals are very much in awe and proud of their capital. Malta has much to learn.
