Reforming Educational Assessment Systems in Malta

Reforming Educational Assessment Systems in Malta

The current assessment system based solely on examinations needs to reformed so as to meet the needs and challenges of today's changing societies. More formative and continuous assessment techniques need to be envisaged (in-class projects; orals; take-home initiatives or projects) rather than focusing solely on summative assessments! This would reduce stress on learners, parents and teachers and make teaching even more fun and an enjoyable experience for all stakeholders!

Points

Be careful what you wish for. Let this not be a prelude for the abolishment of ALLexams... Some stress-coping skills are essential in life.
