Recommendation: The unemployed apart from receiving social services benefits should be asked to volunteer to work for free in non profit making organisations if they have been unemployed for a number of months (say 6 months or more). This should not be compulsory but voluntarily. The volunteer will gain some form of experience to make him more attractive to find future employment, occupy his time and be of service to an entity.Gov can opt to increase the social benefits to such volunteers.
I fully agree with this as in some sectors especially the Tourism Industry we are finding it hard to find employees.
Great idea. I've been wondering about this for ages. This is a win-will situation as unemployed people will gain experience whilst contributing something back to our community.
