Halal meat is a cruel practice where the animal is forced to suffer , more humane practices exist so it should be obligatory that such practices are observed .

Why should a christian majority country abide by islamic laws is beyond me , as a society we reached a point were we choose to give rights to animals and be sure they do not suffer in slaughter houses , yet lately halal meat was introduced with middle ages practices being used to kill animals , this is truly unjust and has no place in 2017 .
For all those against this proposal instead of just pressing the thumbs down button why don't you be mature and present arguments why you are against . ?
Majority aside... Reasonable Animal Rights laws must be observed by all. There can be no exceptions.
