Reform and overhaul mental health care in Malta

Mental health patients in Malta are still stigmatised. they are still being isolated and treated in a separate hospital when all around the world mental health patients are being treated as much as possible within the community and when the need arise within general hospitals as all other diseases without the need of segregation. Community care to mental health patients is very limited and support to carers of mental health patients does not exist.
