Introduce free school transport for all students as well as teachers, thus removing the discrimination that exists towards those attending Church and independent schools, and significantly reducing the number of private cars on the roads during peak times.
I fully support this proposal however I suggest that the transport should me supervised since as a parent I am reluctant to let my 4 year old daughter travel alone.
This is a brilliant idea. However, I work in a state school and see first hand the challenge that school transport currently is especially in terms of student behaviour. Encouraging teachers (and all staff working in schools) the possibility to use this service will hopefully result in changed dynamics whereby unruly students can be better identified and sanctioned resulting in a safer trip for all as well.
