Increase the prioritisation of workers in Health sector

Prioritise proper workforce planning to ensure adequate capacity for meeting the country’s health needs to the required level. The important contribution of non-professional workers (e.g. carers, health assistants and nursing aides) in the sector will be recognised through a scheme of scholarships and tax rebates for further training and development, together with special regular allowances linked to the nature of their duties.

Ancillary care professionals will again be given their professional titles. Examples of these will be physio-therapists, occupational therapists and others. We will develop a legal framework to provide for the ancillary roles in the health and nursing profession.

Play therapists need to be fully recognized as professionals yet the process is taking too long!
